The establishment of the Kautilya Society on 16th December 2024 marks a meaningful step in nurturing a culture of policy consciousness, constitutional values, and responsible leadership at NUSRL. In a short span, the Society has demonstrated commendable dedication towards academic engagement, research-oriented dialogue, and student-led initiatives that bridge theory with public policy practice. I appreciate the collective efforts of the faculty and students in building this platform and extend my best wishes for the Society’s continued growth as a centre of intellectual inquiry and nation-building.
The journey of the Kautilya Society since its inception on 16th December 2024 has been both purposeful and inspiring. Conceived as a space for critical thinking on governance, law, and public policy, the Society has steadily evolved through meaningful discussions, research initiatives, and institutional collaborations. I am proud of the students’ commitment to evidence-based engagement and academic discipline. The Society reflects the spirit of inquiry that legal education must uphold, and I look forward to its continued contribution to policy discourse and civic awareness.
The Kautilya Society was born from a shared vision to create a student-driven platform that engages deeply with policy, governance, and constitutional values. Since beginning this journey on 16th December 2024, the Society has grown through collective effort, curiosity, and a commitment to meaningful impact. Guided by our faculty and supported by the institution, we have sought to translate academic learning into informed dialogue and action. This journey is only the beginning, and we remain dedicated to building a space that encourages thoughtful leadership and responsible public engagement.
